From The Chairman
The New Hampshire Young Republican Federation's sole mission is to get more Republicans, ages
18 to 40, involved in Republican politics in the Granite State.
From knocking on doors, writing letters to the editor, to making phone calls and actually running for
elective office, the New Hampshire Young Republicans continue to play a major role in advancing the
Republican cause.
We have the privilege here in New Hampshire of hosting the First in the Nation Presidential Primary
and we take that responsibility very very seriously. That is why our membership works to protect our
status by being informed voters, active volunteers and tireless supporters of all our Republican
candidates.
In the 2006 election cycle, New Hampshire experienced a tidal wave of change --change for the
worse--with the Democrats riding high on discontent with national issues. The New Hampshire Young
Republicans are committee to rolling up our sleeves to learn the issues, recruit (and be) the
candidates and work to return the corner office and the NH legislature to Republican control.
Bottom line, Republicans have made the state of New Hampshire a great place to live, work and raise
a family. Our values of local control, small government, controlled spending and low tax burden has
produced a strong state economy and a high quality of life. Why else do so many folks from MA move
here?
I hope you will join our cause and make sure that good Republicans get elected to lead this state once
again and this country again!
Sincerely,
Kerry

Elected on April 21, 2007 at the
NHYR's Annual Convention by its
members, Kerry Marsh will begin her
first term as chairman of the state
wide organization.
Running on the pledge to grow this
organization for the 2008 election
cycle, Kerry envisions a NHYR group
that is active in New Hampshire
politics at all levels, but also takes the
time to have some fun at social
gatherings and YR sponsored events.
In 2003, Kerry graduated Summa
Cum Laude from Keene State College
with a BA in Economics and minors in
Political Science and History.
Kerry’s political experience began as a
volunteer for the McCain for President
Campaign in 2000 and volunteer for
former Senate President Tom Eaton’s
first and successful campaign. It was
a special election that no one thought
the Republican in a Democratic
stronghold could win, but through
strong grassroots efforts and a lot of
help from Young Republicans across
the state, Tom Eaton beat a well
known local Democrat for the seat.
Kerry’s first professional political
experience was as the Deputy Field
Director for the Keough for Governor
campaign in 2002. Her work earned
her the NH Young Republican’s 2003
Gipper Award for the outstanding
Young Republican of the year.
In January of 2003, Kerry became the
youngest GOP County Committee
chairman in the history of New
Hampshire when she was elected to
lead the Cheshire County Republican
Committee at the age of 21.
After graduating from Keene State
College, Kerry joined the NH House of
Representatives’ Majority Office staff
working as a Legislative Assistant to
Speaker Gene G. Chandler.
Most recently, her leadership positions
included Vice Chair of the Vesta Roy
Excellence in Public Service Series
Board of Governors (2005-2007)
which is a program that provides
leadership training to Republican
women; and is currently the Secretary
of the Merrimack County Republican
Committee.
Kerry is currently employed at
Spectrum Monthly & Printing in the
Political Division and works part time
for the Republican Leader of the NH
House of Representatives, Michael
Whalley as a Legislative Assistant.
