Fisher Cats Baseball Night with a Salute to Senator John Sununu
Over 130 young republicans and young republicans at heart came out to join the NHYR's in
thanking Senator John Sununu for his tremendous support of our organization and the
outstanding work he has done for our state while in Washington, D.C. It was a great night of
baseball, good food and socializing with the Senator and Young Republicans across the
state. CNN showed up to do some coverage of the Senator in action and speak with those
attending. John Sununu showed the crowd he still has the heat when he  threw out one of the
first pitches of the evening.

Next, Colorado Congressman, Tom Tancredo, spoke passionately about the main issue
of his presidential campaign: illegal immigration. He provided the NHYR's with a lot of
great insight and thought into the need to protect and secure our borders in order to
preserve our country's identity. Being from Colorado, Congressman Tancredo offered a
different regional perspective to that and other issues.

Congressman Tancredo and his campaign for president.

To round out the day, the NHYRF elected a new slate of officers and presented two
NHYR's with the annual Gipper Award for outstanding effort in promoting youth in the
political process and the Republican Party. This year, Katie Dangel and BJ Perry
received this award.

NHYR's Bumper Sticker Fundraising Drive
We have listened to your request and have created  "Take Back NH - Vote Republican"
bumper stickers as a general call for NH to return to the governing traditions that made it a
beacon of economic opportunity and to reject the radical experimentation the Democrats favor.

The NHYR's are respectfully requesting a $5 donation per bumper sticker and can be
purchased from any member of our Leadership.

NHYR Convention to be Held Tuesday, April 22nd
Upham Walker House - 5:30pm

(next to the State House on Park Street in Concord)

Drinks and light appetizers will be available.

NHYR's need you all there to celebrate this year's Gipper Award and elect two new positions
to our e-board  - Vice Chairman of NH and Vice Chairman of Southern NH.

You may recall that last year our federation adopted a new bylaws change providing for
these two new positions for our Executive Board to help us increase participation and
spread our reach. Each will serve based on the regions in the state consisting of the 5
northern counties and 5 southern counties.

The Vice Chair-North will service Coos, Grafton, Carroll, Belknap and Sullivan counties,
while the Vice Chair-South will service Cheshire, Merrimack, Hillsborough, Rockingham and
Strafford Counties.  The positions will hopefully bring new voices to regions of the state not
currently represented and increase our visibility in getting our message out to everyone.  The
term will be for one year, elected at our annual convention on April 22.
